Meet Your Tutor

My name is Lauren. I am an experienced primary school teacher and have worked with children for over 10 years.

I qualified from the University of Worcester with a First Class BA (Hons) degree in Primary Education. I'm also enhanced DBS checked.

I have taught across the primary age phase in both KS1 and KS2 with middle leadership curriculum responsibilities. Before completing my teaching degree, I worked in nurseries and tutored children from the ages of 4–14.

I founded Minnie Minds because I am passionate about education and believe that teaching is the best job in the world! It is a great experience to witness a learner grasp something for the first time. I aim to equip students with the knowledge and tools they need to develop confidence and thrive.

Albert Einstein once said,

"Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid."

This quote really resonates with me. It serves as the cornerstone of the Minnie Minds teaching ethos where bespoke learning packages are tailored to your child. My empathetic teaching approach enables me to understand the student and their unique learning style, allowing them to learn in a relaxed environment.

When I'm not teaching, I enjoy walking in the countryside with my two Shih Tzus, Minnie and Phyllis. Minnie, the grey and white one, served as the inspiration for the name of Minnie Minds! You may recognise her from our logo!
